Meet Leopold!

Leopold is available for adoption through CCLAS' Foster Care program and not at the Lakewood Animal Shelter. He was rescued from a west end neighborhood in Lakewood with his 4 siblings and mom, when he was 8 weeks old. Since he moved into foster care about a month ago, he's been given ear mite meds, advantage flea meds, deworming meds, neutered, tested negative for FeLV/FIV/HW and vaccinated for rabies and FVRCP. He was in good health when rescued thanks to his mom, who raised him outdoors since birth. Litter boxed trained.

He's very cute with long grey and white fur and loves to chase after the laser light toy. He was an excellent hunter at 8 weeks old. Currently only 3lbs at 12 weeks old. Looking for the right home for him, since he was initially raised in the wild, his foster home has been working on socializing him for the last month. He's skiddish at first but loves to be petted and will easily purr when he's happy. He would benefit from a home with an other young cat to play with and help socialize.

If you are interested in learning more about Leopold, please contact cclaspromo@yahoo.com, for an application.

Only 12 cages for 15 kitties

If you haven't been to the Lakewood Animal Shelter yet, you would be surprised to learn how small it is. Right now there are only 12 cages for the 15 kitties that are up for adoption. Unfortunately more are dropped off each day. Since CCLAS is so small, we appreciate any help our supporters can do to help promote our shelter kitties.

Visit our Petfinders.com page to see the latest animals for adoption. Print out their adoption profile pages and leave them at your favorite local hot spots and work. Select "Print Friendly" under an adoptable animal's profile picture. (For an example, "Print Friendly") Constant promotion of the furry friends helps increase adoptions! We update the listing several times a week.

Thank you. We appreciate your help!

She was a model house guest and her foster family found the experience very rewarding!
