Can You Help a Special Needs Cat?

CCLAS really needs to find a home for Forrest & Lt. Dan. These beautiful brother cats were abandoned in an apartment in Lakewood. What's worse... no one really knows the treatment the cats received while living there. They are both overfed and under-exercised, and Lt. Dan is missing a rear paw. Despite their sad history, this pair is incredibly resilient. They are both loving, calm, affectionate cats, with hearts large enough to match their stature! They are NEUTERED, adult male tabbies, who are also up-to-date on shots and flea meds.

Know someone who might be willing to adopt this dynamic duo? Spread the word! These boys are available at Lakewood Animal Shelter. Call 216.529.5020, and ask about collar #s 370 & 371.

Olive's second chance

Olive at her foster home on Christmas day

Olive as a kitten the shelter

Olive is a sweet and special kitty. Very friendly, staff favorite at the local animal hospital. She was adopted from the shelter in early September, but her adopted family never took her to see a veterinarian for an initial exam and returned her when she went into "heat" this past week. She's now update to date on her vaccines, including rabies, recently placed into foster care to recoup. She tested negative for heartworms, feline leukemia and FIV.

If you are interested in learning more about Olive, email us at cclaspromo@yahoo.com. This kitty is available for adoption through the Lakewood Animal Shelter, located in the Cleveland Metroparks, on Cleveland Metroparks Drive (Valley Parkway) just south of the Dog Park. Adoption fees are only $35. Includes deworming medicines, initial vaccination, capstar flea pill (seasonal), a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and initial veterinarian visit with second vaccination from participating local veterinarian. Help a friend in need

One of our CCLAS supporters and former foster mom of Suri, rescued several cats and kittens in an east Cleveland neighborhood this week and SHE NEEDS YOUR HELP! CCLAS through the assistance of the Cleveland APL are able to step in and aide with veterinarian examinations, antibiotics, vaccinations, and their spay and neuters. Pet's General has offered to help by donating food.

Unfortunately her home is quite small and not suited to care for this many kitties. As of today, there are seven kitties in need of foster homes or fur-ever homes. In addition to a safe and loving homes, she needs donations of food, clean blankets or towels, cat carriers. Advantage flea meds, ear mite medicines and clumping kitty litter.

If you can help, email cclaspromo@yahoo.com
