Below are just some of the animals available for adoption at the Lakewood Animal Shelter THIS WEEK. This time of year is especially difficult, since influx is high and cages are limited. Can you, or someone you know, rescue one of these beauties, or perhaps offer up a foster home?

Jersey needs a foster home ASAP

IMPORTANT: The Lakewood Animal Shelter is AT CAPACITY and we're looking for a foster home for Jersey. He would prefer a cat-free home, since he doesn't really get along with other cats. Although we think he should be ok around dogs. Call the shelter at 529-5020. Open till 5 today through Saturday.


Jersey is a beautiful long-haired male tuxedo, about 2-years-old. He loves being pet and will even roll over for you to get his belly! Jersey is already neutered, has received an initial vaccination, and has been treated with Advantage, so he's ready to go home with you! Ask for collar #205.
