Oh Jersey Boy!
Our Jersey Boy, collar 205, is still available for adoption. This loving big guy is better in a single cat household - doesn't want to share your attention. Meow!

August is CAT-tastic at Lakewood Animal Shelter.
August is CAT-tastic at Lakewood Animal Shelter. The shelter is at capacity and with several cats and kittens looking for the purrfect home!
Did you know almost all of the cats available for adoption at the Lakewood Animal Shelter are either spayed or neutered, have been treated with flea meds like Revolution or Advantage, and received their initial vaccination?
These kitties are available for adoption through the Lakewood Animal Shelter, located in the Cleveland Metroparks, on Cleveland Metroparks Drive (Valley Parkway) just south of the Dog Park. Adoption includes deworming medicines, initial vaccination, capstar flea pill (seasonal), a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier (cat), and initial veterinarian visit with second vaccination from participating local veterinarian. Adoption hours are Tuesdays & Thursday 12 to 6, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 12-4. Please visit our website at http://www.cclas.info and our blog at http://cclaspets.blogspot.com/

Trap Neuter and Return Community Meeting - August 11
As many of you know, Lakewood has received a $13K grant from PetSmart Charities to implement a pilot TNR (trap neuter return) program in the Bird Town area. The purpose of this program is humanely manage the cat overpopulation program in this area and we're very thrilled that PetSmart has awarded this grant to our community.
There will be a meeting on THURSDAY, AUGUST 11, AT 7PM AT THE MADISON BRANCH OF THE LAKEWOOD LIBRARY to discuss this program, how you can get involved and to answer any questions.
There is a separate task force leading this effort, not CCLAS. They hope to have as much support as possible and you do not need to be a Lakewood resident to assist.
If you are interested in helping but unable to attend this meeting, please leave a comment or email CCLASweb@yahoo.com and will forward your information to the TNR task force.
Kindly,
Dawn Pyne
President of CCLAS
