Bonded littermates, Andy and Ann, are heading back to the shelter today from foster care. These two are inseparable and have had minor health concern while with their foster family. Everyone is happy, healthy and ready for a furever home together. Share, so these two can stay together. #adopt #adoptinlakewood #1lkwd

URGENT: Foster Home Needed for Four Friendly Kittens!
CCLAS is looking for a short-term foster for this litter of four older kittens (approximately 12-14 weeks old). These guys are very friendly, but they are sneezing and have goopy eyes! They will need to be on antibiotics for 10 to 14 days before they can be spayed/neutered and put up for adoption. Must be kept isolated from any household pets.
We are hoping to get them into a home before the 4th of July Holiday on Friday! Please contact us at cclaspets@gmail.com if you can help.

A chance for survival!
At many city-run shelters, kittens with ringworm wouldn't have a chance for survival, but with your help, we can beat those odds! Check out the link below about our five little foster kittens plagued with the unfortunate, but treatable condition.

BOGO Kittens!
BOGO is Black! Adopt two black kittens and we'll waive the adoption fee on the second kitten. #1lkwd
Adopting two kittens at the same time is best, but if you only want one kitten, we'll take $5.00 off that kitten's adoption fee.

Meet Evie, a wee little furball!
Evie is a cute little medium hair tortie. She showed up at the shelter by herself, spent a few weeks in foster care and is now available for adoption at the shelter. According to her foster, she's very friendly and gentle, yet skittish about common place noises. She's a people food hound! She even tried an orange. Ask for collar 182.
Evie is available for adoption at the Lakewood Animal Shelter, located in the Cleveland Metroparks, on Cleveland Metroparks Drive (Valley Parkway) just south of the Dog Park. Adoption fees are always low - only $35. The fee includes a deworming treatment, an initial vaccination, flea prevention treatment, a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and an initial wellness exam with a second vaccination from participating local veterinarians. Adoption hours are Tuesdays & Thursday 12 to 6, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 12-4. Please visit our website at http://www.cclas.info and our blog at http://cclaspets.blogspot.com/

Everyone available for adoption has been either spayed or neutered, received an initial vaccination plus treated with flea prevention medicine.
Amazing cats like Hera, Quincy, Martha, Lizzy and Trouble are waiting for their furever homes...but they can't wait forever! Stop into the shelter between noon and 4:00 p.m. or visit our Adopt-A-Pet album, to see our current list of adoptables. Can you, or someone you know, rescue one of these felines, or maybe offer up a foster home?

Our shelter is full of kittens!!!!!!
There are "The Dog Days of Summer," but did you also know that there's a "Kitten Season?" (CUTE PICTURES @ THE BOTTOM >^..^<)
Kitten season is the time of year when cats give birth, flooding animal shelters across the nation with homeless litters. Kitten season is really three seasons in one, starting in spring, peaking in late spring or early summer, and ending in fall.
Why Does Kitten Season Occur? When warm weather coincides with female cats' heat cycles, female cats go into heat and male cats come running from near and far. The easiest way to help reduce the overwhelming numbers of unwanted cats is to spay and neuter your own cat and encourage others to do the same. Unaltered cats are driven by their hormones and tend to sneak outdoors primarily in search of a mate. Mating just once can start a domino effect that can result in dozens, even hundreds or thousands of unwanted animals. These unwanted cats and kittens, when not left on the street to fend for themselves, often turn up in high volume at the local animal shelter.
SO Meet Maya, Macy and Miles! This fab trio is packed full of fun! Maya and Macy are female orange and white tabby cats and Miles is a male domestic short hair. All three are wonderful, loving kitties and would love to curl up at home with you! Ask for collar #s 306 -308.

Litter of five kittens! They are gray, white and black... 4 males and 2 females. There is no doubt--they are a sweet bunch! Ask for collars #313- 318.

Clementine is a sweet little kitten! She is a female calico with lots of love to give! Ask for collar # 324.

Franco here is a sweet little boy. He is a young male, domestic short hair, who acts shy at first, but is a lover at heart! Ask for collar # 312.

These kittens are available for adoption at the Lakewood Animal Shelter, located in the Cleveland Metroparks, on Cleveland Metroparks Drive (Valley Parkway) just south of the Dog Park. Adoption includes deworming medicines, initial vaccination, capstar flea pill (seasonal), a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier (cat), initial veterinarian visit with second vaccination from participating local veterinarian and a voucher toward a spay/neuter redeemable at most local veterinarian. Adoption hours are Tuesdays & Thursday 12 to 6, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays 12-4. Please visit our website at http://www.cclas.info
