Our favorite Trouble(maker)

Trouble has been in our care, since early February, after hematoma surgery in his right ear. We're happy to share that he had his stitches removed recently and is now back up for adoption through CCLAS. His first foster family thought he was very sweet, talkative, and a cuddle bug!

Trouble is available for adoption through CCLAS - not at the shelter.. Adoption fees are always low - only $50. The fee includes a deworming treatment, an initial vaccination, flea prevention treatment, a collar with identification tag, a cardboard carrier, and an initial wellness exam with a second vaccination from participating local veterinarians. Our fall beauties and beau! Meet Nifty, Doodle and Sniffy.

Nifty is a sweetheart brown tabby kitty, with a white patch on her chest. Recently spayed, received her initial vaccination and treated with flea prevention medicine. Ask for collar 305.

Doodle is an outgoing calico with beautiful green eyes. She's a young adult, recently spayed, received initial vaccination, and treated flea prevention medicine. Ask for collar 306.

Sniffy is a handsome orange tabby. He's a young adult, recently neutered, received initial vaccination, and treated flea prevention medicine. Ask for collar 307.

These kitties available for adoption at the Lakewood Animal Shelter, located in the Cleveland Metroparks, on Cleveland Metroparks Drive (Valley Parkway) just south of the Dog Park. Adoption fees are always - only $35. How often does your cat see the vet?

This week is Take Your Cat to the Vet Week.

On average, cats visit the veterinarian less than half as often as dogs. Assumptions that cats don’t require the same care as dogs or don’t get ill as often just aren’t true. The CATalyst Council supports the American Veterinary Medical Association’s position that twice-yearly wellness exams for all cats are justifiable. More frequent vet visits may be required for seniors and geriatrics, and for cats with medical and behavioral conditions.
